Why a Renishaw EQUATOR Upgrade from Verisurf?
The Verisurf upgrade to a Renishaw EQUATOR system includes a fully 3D error-mapped process, which, when combined with Verisurf AUTOMATE software, gives the hardware full CMM capabilities.
The error mapping conducted by Verisurf, called Cubic Volumetric Mapping (CVM) uses twenty-four calculations to improve the error map and to significantly improve the accuracy of the standard Equator system, which is essentially only a comparator, rather than a CMM.

In this process, your EQUATOR is sent back to Verisurf in the USA where it is fully error mapped, so that it has true CMM capabilities.
The final step is adding the Verisurf CAD/Measure/AUTOMATE software package so that the Equator can be programmed using Verisurf's powerful CMM capabilities.
